Terms of Service

1. Service Description

DMARC Shield provides DMARC email authentication monitoring and related services, including DNS health checks, DMARC report processing, plain-English status reporting (including status PDFs by email on eligible plans), regression alerts, guided policy progression on higher tiers, and optional once-off Fix Assist remediation projects. The service is operated by S-Tech Solutions, South Africa.

2. Account Registration

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for account credentials and for activity under your account. Registration information must be accurate and kept up to date.

3. Subscriptions, Fix Assist, and Payments

3.1 Plans and pricing

Current subscription plans and once-off Fix Assist products are described on our pricing page. Features, limits, and prices may change; the live pricing page and checkout confirmation control what you purchase. All amounts are in South African Rand (ZAR) unless stated otherwise.

3.2 Onboarding and project fees

Subscription plans may include a once-off onboarding or baseline setup fee, shown at checkout. Fix Assist is a once-off project fee (not a subscription), as described for the packages offered on the site.

3.3 Billing and renewals

Payment is processed by PayFast (tokenised card where applicable; EFT may be available for approved cases). We do not store full card numbers. Subscriptions renew according to the selected billing cycle (monthly or annual) until cancelled. Recurring charges use the payment method authorised at checkout via our payment provider.

3.4 Cancellation

You may cancel from the customer portal. Access typically continues until the end of the paid period you have already paid for. Partial-period refunds are not provided unless required by law or we agree in writing.

3.5 Upgrades and schedule changes

Plan upgrades, downgrades, and scheduled changes follow the billing options shown in the customer portal (including pro-ration where offered). Any onboarding fee differences are disclosed at checkout.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for unlawful purposes or in violation of applicable law (including POPIA and anti-spam rules).
• Submit false domain ownership claims or misrepresent authorisation to manage a domain.
• Attempt to access another customer’s data or bypass isolation between customer accounts.
• Use the service to facilitate spam, phishing, or other email abuse.
• Interfere with platform integrity, security, or availability, or reverse engineer the service except as allowed by law.

5. Data Handling

You retain rights to domain configuration and report data you submit. We process it to provide the service (see our Privacy Policy). We may use anonymised, aggregated statistics that cannot identify you. After cancellation, data is retained for a limited period then deleted or anonymised, subject to legal retention requirements.

6. Service Level

The service is provided on a commercially reasonable efforts basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We are not responsible for DNS propagation delays, third-party mailbox provider behaviour, or failures outside our reasonable control. Enterprise plans may include additional SLA terms if agreed in writing.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, S-Tech Solutions and DMARC Shield are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid us for the service in the twelve (12) months before the claim.

8. Indemnification

You will indemnify S-Tech Solutions against claims arising from your misuse of the service, violation of these terms, or infringement of third-party rights, to the extent permitted by law.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for material breach (with notice and opportunity to cure where practicable), non-payment, or security risk. Upon termination, access ends and data handling follows Section 5.

10. Changes

We may revise these terms. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date and, where appropriate, notified by email or in-product notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Courts of South Africa have jurisdiction.
